Our Classes

Limelite Performing Arts studies the RAD Ballet Syllabus. With over 13,000 members spread across 83 countries. The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) is one of the largest and most influential dance education and training organisations in the world. Students in Showgroup must take Ballet as a compulsory class. Ballet exams are optional.

Hip hop classes have become increasingly popular in recent years. Our open classes allow students to learn the most current styles of hip hop featured on film clips. Our classes feature house, vogueing, popping, locking and lyrical styles

At LIMELITE we do not teach a syllabus or hold exams for jazz. Instead we aim to keep up to date with the latest trends in the commercial jazz industry. Fun students participate in JFH class, which are great combination classes that include Jazz, Funk and Hip Hop.

Our modern classes are a mix of lyrical and contemporary work. Teachers instruct students on the most current movements in these dance fields and the meaning behind how the body moves and the expression it conveys. It builds a strong centre and combines precision leg work with fluidity of the torso. Contemporary dance encourages self expression, natural movement and personal interpretation.

Recreational acrobatics is a starting point for both boys and girls. Your child will experience all aspects of gymnastics and all the apparatus. These classes will enhance strength, coordination, flexibility, mini tramp sequences, tumbling, motivation and self-confidence.
